Welcome to the
Parkston Elementary School website!
Parkston Elementary is fully recognized by the South Dakota
State Board of Education, and is accredited under the guidance
of NCA / Advanced Ed. Our school consists of the Elementary
School in Parkston which serves 320 pre-school through 6th
grade students; and two Hutterite Colony Schools which both
serve pre-school through 8th grade.
Parkston Elementary School’s success is due to the outstanding
commitment from parents, school personnel, students, and
community members. We follow our motto “To empower all to
succeed in a changing world." We believe in
this motto and try to challenge our students through a balance
of technology and academics to prepare them for their
future.
All of our schools have made the
expectations of No Child Left Behind up to this point. We
continue to work towards improving instruction and learning to
benefit our students by evaluating past data and looking at the
trends to help us in the future. We are believers in
professional development for our staff and utilizing the latest
in teaching methodology to the benefit of our students.
